Doberman Myths

There is no Warlock.
Disreputable breeders have used this to imply their puppies will be bigger, better and special, which translates to higher prices. There was in fact a Doberman named CH. Borong the Warlock in the late 1950s. He was a standard size male Doberman with an especially mild temperament.

A white doberman is not good luck.
"White" or "albino" Dobermans are not actually white animals. They are a pale tan or cream color, and only the areas which would normally be rust-colored are actually white. Also, these Dobermans have blue eyes -- not pink or red eyes.

Dobermans are not attack dogs.
"The Doberman suffers from bad PR. For the most part, however, today's Doberman must learn aggressive behavior from humans."
